Chelsea had no coat as a puppy that we despaired she would ever have hair. Then at 8 months of age, she began to put it on and judges suddenly noticed her gorgeous face and head and her well built, compact body. Just shows you the icing tends to draw the eyes and minds of judges more than substance! But all's well that ends well. She promptly finished her Phil. Gr. Championship and capped it off with a Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty before flying off to the Triple Crown. There she was the darling of the crowd and took BOSS at the Allegheny Pekingese Club Specialty under Breeder-judge Diane Burvee, Winners Bitch at the Colony Pekingese Club Show under breeder-judge David Kelland and BOS in Sweeps under Richard Lebeau for two 5 point majors. Chelsea finished her American title with two more 3 point majors the next weekend with Ted Lee handling. She is now off chasing her American Grand Championship.
